The list of external chargers or power banks has been expanded with an ultra-fast 50 W Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 3. Today Xiaomi is literally pouring out new products, and this power bank is tailor-made for the new Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, which supports up to 50 W fast charging.

The trend of increasing the power of chargers and smartphones that can handle it keeps growing, and Xiaomi is responding to market demand. According to the manufacturer, it can charge the Mi 10 Pro in just 45 minutes.
Unbelievably fast charging
Xiaomi calls its 50 W fast charging Super Flash Charge. Compared to today’s still common 18 W charging—or even 30 W charging on some newer smartphones—this is a big leap.
The Mi Power Bank 3 has a capacity of 10 000 mAh. That’s enough to charge, for example, POCO X2 (Redmi K30) 1,5 times, iPhone 11 1,9 times, and Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 1,6 times.
Chunkier body and USB Type-C
Battery capacity and fast charging have their price in thicker dimensions. These are 68,8 x 108 x 24,2 mm. So the thickness is roughly 24 mm, and you probably won’t be carrying such a “brick” in your pocket.
It’s sold in only one dark gray color. On the top panel, you’ll also find LEDs that display the battery status.
Fast charging is achieved thanks to the USB Type-C interface, which supports both input and output. In addition, it also includes one classic USB-A port. The advantage is that the package includes both USB-C and USB-A cables.
The price is low again
What we expected from Xiaomi is a reasonable price. For a fast-charging power bank like this, we’d probably expect a higher price tag. But it’s still a number from the domestic market in China, so global sellers will be slightly higher.
The price was set at 249 yuan, which works out to approximately €33 / 817 CZK. It will be available starting February 14 in the official YouPin store.
