Through its crowdfunding platform, YouPin, Xiaomi introduces a variety of interesting products—this external SSD drive is definitely one of them. OneModern M8 PSSD stands out with a compelling protective feature: a fingerprint sensor.
With a coupon on international sale
The Onemodern brand is behind this product, and Xiaomi supported it through its well-known YouPin portal. The OneModern M8 device is now also available on international sales thanks to our partner Geekbuying.
In addition to the discount coupon, the seller also offers reliable customs-duty-free Priority Line shipping, so you won’t have to pay any extra fees. Shipping must be changed manually in the cart; the default shipping method is standard Registered Airmail, through which customs fees are also charged. Your order will arrive from a Chinese warehouse within 10–20 business days.
💡 Important: Never buy on Geekbuying via the app, otherwise you’ll lose our VIP support!

Compact dimensions
The OneModern M8 external SSD drive measures 102.4 x 30.4 x 9.4 mm, with a weight of just 35 grams. The body is made of aluminum combined with plastic, alternating between glossy and matte finishes. Thanks to these dimensions and weight, it’s easy to carry. Inside, you’ll find 3D PSAND NAND-type memory.
In simple terms, this type of memory enables high-speed data transfer. In this case, read speed is 540 MB per second and write speed reaches 500 MB / s. Those are genuinely impressive figures for such a small device.
Biometric identification system
There are three capacity options: 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. On the side, there’s a modern USB C connector, so you can easily connect it to your smartphone too.
This external SSD drive also has one special feature. It uses a built-in AES256 encryption system, so no one else besides you will be able to access your data. For data protection, it uses a biometric identification system—in this case, represented by a fingerprint reader built directly into the device.
The SSD drive is fully compatible with all well-known operating systems. Support for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Google Android is included.
To connect to mobile operating systems, there’s a custom app supplied by the manufacturer that automatically copies to your smartphone’s storage after the first connection.
