As expected, the Redmi brand today introduced its first smart bracelet, Redmi Band. Its biggest advantage is the price-to-features ratio.
Simple, but it’s missing nothing
The first smart bracelet from Redmi comes with its own design that somewhat resembles older Fitbit-style models. It features a rubber strap available in at least four color combinations.
It’s a cheaper alternative to Mi Band bracelets and, unlike them, it doesn’t bring a removable module. Redmi Band instead has a built-in USB connector, hidden under the strap. We don’t know the battery capacity yet, but the manufacturer guarantees up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge.
The new Redmi bracelet is equipped with a 1.08-inch color LCD display. It offers many different graphic themes, with up to 72 different graphic themes available from the factory.
Among the functions of Redmi Band, you’ll find a heart-rate monitoring sensor that can also be used in a continuous 24-hour mode. In addition, the bracelet tracks sleep and alerts you to sitting for too long.
Sports activity monitoring is already standard for smart bracelets. Redmi Band comes with pre-set 5 sports modes, including running, treadmill, walking, cycling, and free workout.
That’s all we know about Redmi Band for now, and more detailed specifications will be available later. However, what was also revealed is its price—and it basically wipes out any competition.
The price of Redmi Band is hard to beat
The bracelet will be available to customers in China from April 9 for 95 yuan. After conversion, that’s about €12, which is a value that’s hard to believe. We hope it will be available with global sellers soon so we can try it out soon.
In a short time, we expect more specifications and real photos to be released, which we will definitely bring to our readers as well.
