Today, in Beijing, besides the smartphone, watches, or smart TV, new air conditioners were also unveiled as additional intelligent products for the Xiaomi ecosystem. Two different types of air conditioners received two versions each.
Xiaomi really has unboxed a lot today. They ended their conference at the new headquarters with smart air conditioners that can also be connected with other products.
Two types were presented
Xiaomi presented two types of air conditioners. One is the classic version that is mounted on the wall, and the other focuses on flexibility when carrying – a vertical one.
Both types of “AC” received two product versions. The wall-mounted one has a version 1 HP and 1.5 HP, while the vertical one has 2 HP and 3 HP.
Efficient and quiet cooling
The manufacturer especially highlighted their quiet operation. The wall-mounted unit reaches a maximum noise level of only 23 dB, which is definitely useful especially on hot nights. It can cool 650 m3/h of air volume per hour.
The vertical air conditioner’s noise level is 33 dB, which is slightly higher, but it can cool up to 1050 m3/h of air volume. It’s suitable for rooms with an area of 30-40 m2.
Smart features are included
The air conditioners also received intelligent features and the ability to connect with other devices within the Xiaomi ecosystem. The Chinese giant once again shows its interest in expanding also in the field of IoT (Internet of Things).
As is customary with such Xiaomi products, app control is also available via Mi Home. From afar, you can control the air conditioners and turn them on, even when you’re not at home.
In combination, for example, with a smart thermometer, they can tell on their own when they should turn on or off. They include several such smart functions. A classic remote controller is also included.
Prices are nice again
The wall-mounted version comes with a price tag of 2299 yuan for the 1 HP model, which is €295 / 7560 kč after conversion. The 2 HP version is priced at 2499 yuan, which is €321 / 8215 kč.
The vertical air conditioner is more expensive by a significant margin, mainly thanks to better specifications in terms of air circulation and efficiency. The 2 HP version in China will be sold from 4499 yuan – €580 / 14 800 kč and the 2 HP version from 5499 yuan – €710 / 18 100 kč.
