Car cameras from 70mai are among the best-sellers with us for a long time. The new 70mai Dash Cam 4K A900 is currently their most equipped model — it records 4K front and rear, both with HDR, and it also adds a supercapacitor instead of a battery and Wi-Fi 6.
Great price from the Polish warehouse
You’ll find the camera on AliExpress in the official 70mai brand stores, with shipping handled from both the Chinese and the Polish warehouse. It depends on the camera variant. In both cases, though, delivery is just a matter of a few days and without any additional customs charges — tax and customs duty are already included in the price. The seller offers a 1-year warranty. Don’t forget to use the coupon from the price box.

Careful which version you’re buying
This is the most important sentence in the whole article. In the offer title, “Dual 4K” is shining, but the base version includes only the front camera. The rear 4K camera, complete with a five-and-a-half-meter cable, is available only in the Set version, which is listed in the price box as a dual-channel bundle.
The other two versions include a hardware kit for the fuse box — UP03 is the standard one and is meant for continuous power during the parking mode, while the pricier UP04 is its 4G variant (more on that below). If you care about recording both front and rear, go for the Set version; if you need to monitor a parked car, you’ll need one of the hardware kits.
Twice 4K at 30 frames per second
In image quality, the A900 is the best 70mai has offered so far. Both the front and rear cameras record in 3840 × 2160 resolution at 30 frames per second and, more importantly, both at the same time. With most dual-channel sets, 4K is a feature of the front camera and the rear stays at 1080p, but here you get full resolution on both sides of the car. The viewing angle is 140 degrees in front and behind.
HDR also runs on both channels simultaneously, and in the settings you can leave it on, turn it off, or switch it to automatic depending on the time of day. The key is the lens with f/1.55 — the lower the number, the more light hits the sensor, so at night there’s less noise and the license plates in front of you stay readable.
But pay attention to one thing. In 70mai’s official comparison table for the A900, there’s a cross in the row with Sony sensors — even the more expensive A900 Ultra uses Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors. According to Notebookcheck’s editors, the base A900 uses a pair of GalaxyCore GC8613 sensors. These have eight megapixels, so 4K is native rather than software-upscaled — but Sony doesn’t do it at night. The Ultra additionally connects the rear camera via LVDS, which the rear 4K can’t encode and thus reduces image delay.
Can the A900 handle 60 fps too? It can’t
A question that comes up with every 4K car camera, and the A900 has a clear answer: it doesn’t record 60 frames per second in any resolution. In the specs, the manufacturer lists only one recording value — 30 fps front and rear — and it doesn’t offer any lower resolution in exchange for smoother video. There’s no 1080p mode at 60 fps, and there are no intermediate steps like 2K either.
Why, 70mai explains in support for its other 4K models. Recording in 4K with HDR enabled loads the chip so much that the limit is 30 fps — 4K at 60 fps needs about 2.4× more encoding power than at 25 fps, and the main chip of typical 4K dash cams can’t handle that. Where 70mai offers 60 fps, it’s always a trade-off: resolution drops to 1080p and HDR turns off.
So if you really need 60 frames, you’ll have to look elsewhere in the 70mai lineup. 4K at 60 fps is handled by models T800 and Omni—and even then only in single-channel mode. Once you connect the rear camera, it drops to 4K at 30 fps. Cheaper A410 Neo, A210, and A200 deliver 60 fps only at 1080p resolution and with HDR turned off. For recording as evidence, though, it’s more of a theoretical topic: you’ll notice the difference in smoothness when reading license plates of cars driving at high speed, but for insurers and the police, 30 fps is enough—plus 4K resolution with HDR will tell you more in practice.
It also remembers what happened before the impact.
A feature you’ll appreciate only in the event of a claim is called buffered emergency recording. After the impact, the camera saves not only 30 seconds after it—but up to 190 seconds before it—so you get the whole sequence, not just the crash itself. The loop length can be set to 70, 130, or 190 seconds, and the recording is saved to a separate folder.
Instead of a battery, the camera uses a supercapacitor, which—according to the manufacturer—lasts for half a million cycles and handles a range of from minus 20 to 70 degrees. So a scorching car in summer won’t bother it, and unlike a battery, there’s no risk that after two years it will puff up.
A parked car is monitored via the G-sensor—during a collision it records a 30-second clip, and on the next startup it alerts you by voice. Time-lapse capture and continuous parking guard, however, require the hardware kit, which is sold separately or included in more expensive versions.
Time-lapse isn’t just an energy-saving mode. The camera records one frame per second and compresses fifteen minutes into one minute, so you can cover the whole night in a parking lot in just a few minutes. For night surveillance, the A900 also has Lumi Vision, which extends exposure time and boosts sensitivity similarly to film cameras, so you can still see who nudged your car even in almost complete darkness.
What else it can do—and what it still can’t
The video transfer to your phone is handled by Wi-Fi 6 on both 2.4 and 5 GHz with download speeds up to 25 MB/s. The camera also has a built-in GPS that records your location, speed, and time into the footage, and supports memory cards up to 512 GB. The display has a 3.18-inch diagonal. It charges via USB-C, and its operating temperature range is from minus 20 to 70 degrees. Under the ADAS abbreviation, you’ll find driver fatigue warning.
Three in-house 70mai technologies take care of the image itself. MaiColor Vivid+ fine-tunes exposure and compensates for tinting and reflections on the windshield, Night Owl Vision cleans up the night image from noise and reduces glare from oncoming lights, and the aforementioned Lumi Vision improves visibility in the dark during parking. On the A900, it’s the first generation of these algorithms. The Ultra version keeps the same features labeled as 2.0, and in addition it supports AI motion detection plus manual exposure fine-tuning.
Let’s be fair about what doesn’t fit. Voice control doesn’t support Slovak—the options include English, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai.
Brand-new 4G features
The offer boasts 4G Cloud+ 2.0. Under that, imagine remote access to the entire album in the camera, plus downloading recordings, automatic cloud backups of emergency videos, and now also sharing a 4G hotspot with up to five devices. There’s also two-way calling to the car through the app, and a Snap & Find My Car feature that, when you park, takes a photo of the surroundings and saves the car’s location.
First catch: the camera has hardware prepared for 4G, but the manufacturer states directly that the full set of features will only be unlocked with a later firmware update. Second catch is bigger — you need a 4G hardware kit, and version 2.0 updates work according to 70mai only with the new UP11 kit. We’re adding a link to the full camera set + new 4G 2.0 kit in the EU warehouse.
The older UP04 only unlocks the basics like location tracking, geofencing, low battery warnings, or uploading parking events to the cloud. For some cloud features, you also need a paid subscription. If you’re buying for 4G, you should know that in advance.
