The 70mai brand makes awesome gadgets for our cars, but now it’s also planning its first smartwatches

The company Xiaomi offers collaborations with several partner brands. One of them is the 70mai brand, which is currently preparing its first smartwatches.

There will even be testing of this product, and you can join in too.

Partner brand Xiaomi, 70mai, has only recently launched its first electric scooter on the domestic Chinese market, labeled 70mai A1 Pro. Soon, this product should be followed by another one—this time in the wearable electronics category.

It will be new smartwatches that should hit the market under the name Saphir.

The first leaks have even revealed the design of the upcoming watch. You can check out the leaked images below. Although everyone is already very excited about Xiaomi Mi Band 5 fitness band, which is supposed to be unveiled on 11. June 2020, upcoming watches might not be a bad choice either.

So far, we don’t have much information about the Saphir watch. Through social media, the company is asking users what features they use the most. This way, it wants to find out what smartwatches should focus on.

The assumption is integration of technologies that competing models also offer, such as heart-rate monitoring, calorie measurement, statistical evaluation of fitness activities, or NFC. However, we still don’t have any official confirmation yet.

But we can say for sure that the new product won’t include eSIM technology. Besides the functions the watch is supposed to offer, the brand also wants to understand the way users want to receive this information. We have screenshots from a mobile app that is meant to manage the functionality of the upcoming watch.

How to test?

If you’re interested in how the mentioned testing works, the brand has made a form available that allows you to register. Just like with MIUI software beta versions, you’ll be able to take part in internal product testing. In this case, however, you need to meet a few conditions.

The testing requires free time in the months of July and August, while the manufacturer asks for timely sending of feedback about the smartwatches.
