A few months later, more technical specifications of an improved version with the label Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S. are revealed to us via certification. These should also arrive on the European market via official distribution, and also with the wireless charging feature.
European market and wireless charging
Even the official name points to official distribution to Europe following the first product generation. Besides importing to Europe, the Wireless Power Consortium platform also revealed some additional specifications. The code name of the earbuds is TWSEJ05WM, while it’s practically the same code as in the December model.
The certification was carried out only a few days ago and shows version 1.2.4. It includes an oval case where the earbuds themselves are stored. Its design compared to the standard Chinese generation AirDots Pro 2 does not change; it looks very similar to the well-known Apple Airpods and smoothly continues from the first generation of Xiaomi earbuds.
Among the data found, several color variants are listed; however, we don’t expect it to be introduced in any color other than white. For the black version, cheaper models like Redmi Airdots or Xiaomi Haylou earbuds are available. The earbuds are “stealth”/“corners” type and therefore do not include soft ear tips. Touch controls are also missing.
Since the new product was certified on the wireless charging devices portal, this technology shouldn’t be missing either. Supported power is 2,5W, which could still be enough to charge the case.
From other features, even Bluetooth technology 5.0, active noise cancelling, or the LDHC audio format have not been confirmed.
