Xiaomi will create an app with which you’ll be able to control functions in cars from the NIO company. This is an app designed for the Mi Watch smartwatches. The main control functions include unlocking the car, opening doors and windows, controlling the car’s air conditioning, and even opening and closing the trunk.
The app will include a function to find the car if the owner forgets where they parked it. In the app, it will be possible to enable loud car honks and flashing lights to locate the vehicle. In this way, the owner can quickly get to their car. A great feature especially for large parking lots.
Consumption and range clearly shown
The app doesn’t only include functions for controlling, but also for monitoring certain vehicle values. The main factors include the current driving status, the vehicle’s power, and for example the battery life. Furthermore, through the app you’ll be able to set whether the windows or doors are closed, and this also applies to the trunk.
The vehicle itself can also send messages to Mi Watch, for example information about the tire pressure status. In the future, the company also plans to support features like NFC. The company states that each model will be compatible with the new app.
