The company POCO is preparing its new budget-friendly smartphone POCO M4 Pro 5G. It has already appeared in a well-known certification, including the parameters. So it will surprise you not only with its low selling price following in the footsteps of the predecessor, but also with NFC support, 5G, and fast charging.
POCO M4 Pro 5G: Here are the key technical specifications
The upcoming smartphone POCO M4 Pro 5G has already been part of several information leaks. Now, however, the known FCC certification is also confirming the news, and it hinted at some technical specifications.
As the name of this device suggests, you can look forward to support for fast 5G connectivity along with other protocols like GSM, WCDMA, and LTE. No 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth technology, NFC, GNSS, and an FM radio are missing either. Support for the FM radio was specified using headphones as antennas. This feature may also indicate the presence of a 3,5 mm audio connector.
The 5G connectivity is especially questionable, because the certification only mentions two 5G bands – N77 and N78. In some markets, such as India, dedicated frequencies of 3300 – 3600 MHz were allocated for 5G. For comparison, the mentioned bands operate at 3200 – 4200 MHz.
Up to 128 GB of storage and 33 W fast charging
Apart from connectivity, the FCC certification also hints at possible internal storage variants. The new device from POCO should be available in the base configuration: 4 GB RAM + 64 GB internal storage. However, there should also be an upgraded version with up to 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage.
We still don’t know the design of this device, as the certification includes no sketches or photos of the upcoming smartphone. Still, we already know that the smartphone will support fast 33 W wired charging and also a more closely unspecified processor from MediaTek.
In various international markets, this model POCO may be sold under a different name, just like it was in the past. We expect its official launch in early November.
