After the smartphones Xiaomi 12T series, all eyes are currently on the upcoming 13 series. Almost every day, new information leaks—this time it concerns the bezels around the display.
Specifically, the Chinese giant is expected to use slightly narrower bezels—something like what the Samsung Galaxy S22/S22+ has right now. However, the bezels will definitely be narrower than on the current Xiaomi 12/12S models.
Narrower bezels = more compact dimensions?
According to the informant from Digital Chat Station, this year too the display should be gently curved at the corners. The displays will be supplied by a Chinese manufacturer, but it’s currently unclear whether it will be CSOT or BOE.
Even the previous hints suggested that the display size on the base model Xiaomi 13 will be 6.26 inches with 1.5K resolution, and on the Pro model it will be 6.7 inches with QHD+ resolution. Both panels should support a 120Hz refresh rate.
We’ll see an in-display optical fingerprint reader here again. Last year, those were very successful scanners—let’s see whether Xiaomi will improve this feature as well.
A great camera will be the Pro model’s perk
Xiaomi 13 should feature a 50-megapixel main camera, while Xiaomi 13 Pro will likely come with a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor.

Both devices will be powered by an as-yet-unannounced processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Battery sizes aren’t known yet—we’re counting more on last year’s capacities.
Again, fast charging
The charging speed won’t change either, meaning 67 W for Xiaomi 13 and 120 W for Xiaomi 13 Pro. Both models will also come with a wireless charging coil with up to 50 W output. Everything will be powered by the latest Android 13 with the MIUI 14 interface.

Xiaomi is currently preparing the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series, which will take place on October 27. Right after this event, we expect a possible launch date for the Xiaomi 13 series—already in the November timeframe.
