Hot new POCO X8 in the EU warehouse is now likely the best buy under 300 €! It survives a fall from three meters and even high-pressure water, has 8340 mAh and IP69K rating

Alongside the flagship duo, F9 Ultra and F9 Pro, POCO also introduced the entry-level POCO X8. We already wrote about it at the end of August, and now the specs are official. This phone takes a different route than most mid-range phones — instead of chasing performance, it focuses on battery life and durability, and it went quite far in both areas.

Best coupons in the EU warehouse!

POCO X8 is already on sale in the global version, and we have its first coupon. On AliExpress, it’s sold by France Online Store, which ships from a French warehouse. Shipping is free, the price already includes VAT, so you won’t pay any customs duty or extra fees, and delivery takes about 5 to 10 days.

Your coupon lets you save a lot off the price. The 8 + 256 GB version comes out at 293 €, which is less than the official listed launch price of 319,99 €. This is an introductory deal with a limited stock, so don’t delay with your order.

The smartphone is sold in the global version with all languages, including Slovak and Czech. On AliExpress, the seller offers a bundle with the original 67W charger.

Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

1. Copy the code and click GET THE DISCOUNTIn our article, copy the coupon and click the button GET THE DISCOUNT. The link will take you directly to the product in the AliExpress app.
2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.

Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

Store Coupon also belongs in the same field. — a coupon from the seller itself, which isn’t always available and changes day to day. It can’t be combined with an AliExpress coupon, so try both and go with the one that gives you more. Coins are added automatically.

8340 mAh and over two days of battery life

The headline number is 8340 mAh. It’s a silicon-carbon battery, and POCO promises over two days of battery life in normal use, or 60 hours in an internal test. The construction is based on a ball-type silicon anode reinforced with a high-voltage cathode and the G1 control chip.

More interesting than the capacity, however, is the lifespan. POCO states that the battery will keep at least 80% of its original capacity after 1600 charging cycles, which with normal use is roughly six years. It also has a five-star TÜV SÜD certificate for battery performance and certification for operation in extreme temperatures.

Charging is 67 W, and the phone also supports 22.5 W reverse charging, so it can work as a power bank. One thing to watch out for: the adapter isn’t included in the box; POCO recommends a 67W charger that supports PD. In the box, you’ll find only the phone, a cable, a case, and a SIM tool.

A drop from three meters, 72 hours underwater, and underwater photography

This is the part where the X8 surprises the most. Durability is certified four times over — IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K. In practice, that means being submerged up to two meters for half an hour, while also being resistant to hot water jet pressure — something you won’t see on phones in this price range.

POCO also had the phone tested by TÜV SÜD for submersion in two meters of water for 72 hours and it earned a five-star water resistance certificate. SGS also confirmed that the phone can survive a drop from three meters onto a granite surface. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

This is followed by a underwater photography mode, which will arrive via an update — after you take the phone out of the water, vibrations will force the water out of the speaker. The Wet Touch 2.0 technology can also detect water, oil, foam, or sweat, so the display stays usable even with a wet hand. It’s worth adding that, according to POCO, this applies to fresh water up to two meters deep and for a maximum of 30 minutes — it’s not intended for the sea or a pool.

6,83 inches, 1,5K and brightness of 3500 nits

The display is a 6.83-inch AMOLED with 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1280 pixels, or 447 pixels per inch) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness is 3500 nits, typical brightness is 1060 nits, and minimum brightness is 1 nit. Contrast is 8,000,000:1 and color depth is 12 bits.

For gaming, there’s a 240 Hz touch sampling rate, which briefly jumps to 3200 Hz in Game Turbo mode. Your eyes are protected by 3840 Hz PWM dimming plus DC dimming and three TÜV Rheinland certifications. According to POCO, the panel also uses 11.4% less power.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 4: Here, they saved money

Let’s be fair — performance is the part where the X8 is not a star. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, an octa-core 4nm chip clocked at up to 2.4 GHz with Adreno graphics. In AnTuTu, it scores 946,548 points, which is decent mid-range performance, but far from flagship territory.

The memory is LPDDR4X and storage is UFS 3.1 on the 256GB versions, while the 128 GB model uses the slower UFS 2.2. Available configurations are 6 + 128 GB, 8 + 256 GB and 12 + 256 GB, with memory expansion of up to 24 GB. Connectivity was also cut back: you only get Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. On the plus side, POCO promises 60 months of smooth system performance.

Cameras, system and what else we know

The main camera has 50 MPx, f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization, plus a 2 MPx depth sensor, and there’s a 16 MPx camera on the front. So there’s no ultra-wide lens. The bigger disappointment is video — the rear cameras record only in Full HD at 30 fps; you won’t find 4K here. The interesting part is the Dual video feature, which records with the front and rear cameras at the same time.

The system is Xiaomi HyperOS 3, including the HyperIsland feature, which shows ongoing activities in the top bar. On the AI side, you get Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and a set of photo-editing tools — AI Erase Pro, reflection removal, photo expansion, and sky replacement. You also get NFC, an infrared port, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a pair of speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Prices for Europe

POCO X8 comes in three configurations — 6 + 128 GB, 8 + 256 GB and 12 + 256 GB — but it seems that only the 256 GB storage versions will reach Europe. The version with 8 GB of RAM costs €399.99, while the one with 12 GB costs €449.99.

More important, however, are the launch prices, which apply right after release: €319.99 for the 8 + 256 GB version and €359.99 for the 12 + 256 GB version. That means a discount of €80 to €90 off the regular price for both models.
