The second-lowest price in Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition history: Wireless charging, skin temperature measurement, and music storage

At the end of April, Amazfit 2023 launched new smartwatches under the Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition name. Compared to the classic GTR 4 version, they offer a nicer design, wireless charging, and skin temperature measurement.

So far, the best-equipped smartwatches from Amazfit have finally gone on sale after a month of waiting. It happened on the well-known global online marketplace Aliexpress, where an officially authorized Amazfit seller offers them at an introductory discount thanks to two coupons.

💸 Price info: The watches are currently available only from a Chinese warehouse, and since they cost more than €150, Aliexpress does not collect VAT at this amount. In your cart, VAT is automatically calculated, and it’s likely you’ll have to pay the VAT at customs. This comes to €37.87. After the discount, the watches without VAT come to €189.37, so the final price including VAT is €227. However, a fan from our Facebook group has experience ordering a POCO phone worth €400, also from a Chinese warehouse on Aliexpress, and upon delivery they only had to pay an additional fee of 5 €. So it’s possible you can avoid paying VAT and only add a small amount.

Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

1. Copy the code and click GET THE DISCOUNTIn our article, copy the coupon and click the button GET THE DISCOUNT. The link will take you directly to the product in the AliExpress app.
2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
3. Continue to Checkout via the cartA pop-up will appear: Added to cart!—tap Check it out. If it disappeared, open the cart using the icon in the bottom-right corner. In the cart, check the product and quantity, then tap the red Checkout button. Only the items marked with the red circle are included.
4. Fill in your address and card, then look for Promo codeIn the order summary, first enter the delivery address and payment card at the top. Below that, there’s a line Promo code — expand it with the arrow on the right.

   

5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyIn the field Promo code paste the copied code and click the black Apply. The code is case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.

   

6. Check your savings and payIn the section Summary expand the line Saved — you’ll see the applied coupon there as AliExpress coupons/codes. Only when Total is really lower, click Pay now.

   

Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

Store Coupon also belongs in the same field. — a coupon from the seller itself, which isn’t always available and changes day to day. It can’t be combined with an AliExpress coupon, so try both and go with the one that gives you more. Coins are added automatically.

Nicer design

In essence, it’s a more premium version of the classic GTR 4. The stainless-steel body itself measures 46.5 x 46.5 x 11.2 mm and weighs 46 grams. On the side, two physical buttons have been kept—the top one acts as a rotating crown. You also get the 5 ATM certification.

On the front, the dominant element is a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, resulting in a sharpness of 326 ppi, covered by durable anti-reflective glass.

Skin temperature measurement

On the underside, there’s a reliable BioTracker 4.0 PPG sensor for health tracking. It can measure heart rate, blood oxygenation, stress, sleep, and a special PAI metric. The new feature is body temperature sensing.

We also have measurement of up to 154 sports activities, including GPS support. These smartwatches should be able to recognize 25 activities automatically. The watch runs the Zepp OS 2.0 operating system, which allows you to install up to 150 mini-apps directly from your smartphone.

Wireless charging support

The Amazfit GTR 4 Limited Edition model has an integrated microphone and speaker, so you can handle your calls right from your wrist—which definitely comes in handy in some situations.

The battery capacity is 475 mAh, and the manufacturer claims up to two weeks of battery life with typical use. With heavier usage, it’s about 8 days per charge. There’s also wireless charging support as a new feature.
