This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

What draws you in is the special night mode

A quality night recording is an essential part of any in-car camera. DDPAI is aware of that, and equipped the Mini 3 with a special night mode called Superior Night Vision. The mode takes care of brighter night-time footage thanks to a combination of a large aperture and software processing.

The camera features a 4 MPx OmniVision sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a wide field of view of up to 140°. Video is recorded in the maximum resolution 2560 x 1600 px at 30 fps.

With its large aperture, the sensor lets in more light, which is especially useful when visibility is reduced. According to the manufacturer, under worse lighting conditions the camera can even capture vehicle license plates.

In terms of design, DDPAI has gone for a compact cylindrical shape. The camera lens can be rotated 360°. This means we can capture not only what’s happening in front of the vehicle, but also inside the cabin while driving.

Built-in storage

Besides other features, the DDPAI Mini 3 is also equipped with a gyroscope. This ensures immediate video saving in case of sudden braking or an impact. In such a situation, the recorded video should not be lost.

There’s also WiFi connectivity, with the option to connect to an app on your smartphone. Videos can be downloaded directly to your phone’s memory wirelessly as well.

An interesting feature is the built-in eMMC memory with a capacity of 32 GB, which is definitely not common for in-car cameras. So you don’t need to buy an external memory card for the camera.

Compared to TF memory in microSD cards, eMMC offers up to five times higher read speed, and the risk of potential damage or losing the captured video is reduced to a minimum.

The eMMC memory can be overwritten up to 5000 times, which is ten times more than TF. The recorded video is saved using the H.265 codec, which compresses its size without losing quality. Video is recorded in a loop, as is typical for in-car cameras.

Another useful function is voice control. It supports voice commands to start recording, create a photo, and also for other actions. With this feature, the driver can fully focus on operating the vehicle.
