In a recent article, we informed you about a new smartphone that is supposed to be some kind of global version between Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e. This is yet another successor to the Android One project – Xiaomi Mi A3.
These details have been confirmed as true, and we already have the Xiaomi Mi A3 on the first leaked photos. Its design will therefore be identical to its Chinese counterpart, and we also know something about its possible specs.
Mi A3 officially confirmed
The launch of the new Xiaomi Mi A3 has been officially confirmed by Xiaomi itself. On its Facebook profile, it started posting the first teasers for the release of this smartphone. The teasers mention Android One and an amazing front and rear camera setup. The official launch date hasn’t been announced yet. As soon as it is, we’ll let you know.
It will come in three colors as well
Leaked photos suggest that the Mi A3 will arrive in three color variants, just like the Chinese Xiaomi CC series. It will be dark blue, pearl white, and gray. On the back, next to the new Xiaomi logo, there will also be the Android One logo. It will also feature a 3.5 mm audio jack, which was missing on the Mi A2.
6″ AMOLED and a triple 48 MPx camera
According to a source from Winfuture.de and the leaked photos, for now we know that the Mi A3 could include a 6″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a teardrop-shaped notch. Below it, there should also be a fingerprint sensor. On the front, there will be a 32 MPx camera.
On the back, a triple-camera setup should be used – 48 MPx primary sensor, 8 MPx wide-angle sensor and 2 MPx depth sensor for creating bokeh effects. Inside, a Snapdragon 665 processor will most likely be used. This information suggests that the Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone will be a kind of hybrid between the CC9 and CC9e.
4 GB RAM, 4000 mAh battery, and USB Type-C
More details point to 4 GB of RAM and two storage versions: 64 GB and 128 GB. It should also support micro SD card expansion. Power will come from a 4000 mAh battery with fast charging support via a USB Type-C connector. There could also be an IR blaster on top for controlling appliances.
Of course, it will run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie, and we shouldn’t have to wait long for its official presentation. It will be available on the global market with support for all LTE networks.
