iPhone 11 in the well-known DxOMark camera test failed to beat Xiaomi Mi 9

The French research website DxOMark brings together experts who, based on extensive photographic evidence, analyze and then create rankings of a large number of smartphones.

Recently, this popular platform focused on a large smartphone camera test of the iPhone 11 from Apple. The result will surprise more than one user.

iPhone 11 finished behind Mi 9

iPhone 11 in the DxOmark test received a score of 109 points, placing it even ahead of last year’s Xiaomi Mi 9, which currently has one point more.

In the photo category, you earned the Apple smartphone 112 points, where it stood out for accurate and consistent exposure, as well as pleasant, vivid colors. On the other hand, the ZOOM feature level is not on par with a smartphone whose price is somewhere around 1 000 EUR.

In the overall ranking, Xiaomi Mi 9 is in 16th place, while iPhone 11 is in 17th place.

When it comes to video, iPhone 11 scored 101 points in the test—mainly thanks to the quality of image stabilization and colorfulness. White balance, as well as the visible jelly effect, caused a drop in the overall score.

There’s no doubt, however, that the iPhone 11 rating is still at a high level. But it’s surprising that it was overtaken in the rankings by a Xiaomi smartphone, which costs roughly 1 a third of its price.

Don’t forget that at the moment the price of Xiaomi Mi 9 on the Slovak and Czech market starts somewhere above 300 euros. It’s an ideal choice for those looking for a smartphone with outstanding performance, a high-quality design, and a triple rear camera that also beats much more expensive smartphones in benchmark ratings.
