Recently, Xiaomi introduced the world to several new features, along with a new generation of the MIUI 12 overlay. For many, it was great news, but so far we still don’t know the release date for the global version.
According to one of the Mi Community moderators and also a verified leaker, it’s said to happen very soon.
As early as May?
Since the release of the first Chinese version of MIUI 12, fans have been asking when the global version of the new overlay will arrive. To their surprise, one of the moderators of the official Mi Community replied that the presentation is already close.
Initial information suggested that the global version of MIUI 12 would hit the market by the end of summer 2020 or even by the end of the year 2020. However, confirmation from the Mi Community moderator claims that we’ll get it sooner.
In addition, the first hints about the release date were also published by the well-known and verified leaker Xiaomishka on his Twitter profile. He mentions that this could happen as early as May.
Despite this good news, you should still take it with a grain of salt, as nothing has been officially confirmed yet. The good news is that we should get the official date from Xiaomi any time now.
On Twitter, they promised their fans that if their post reaches 3000 re-tweets (shares), they will reveal the release date. So we’re just waiting.
If you don’t want to wait for the global release of MIUI 12, you can try the version from the Czech-Slovak MIUI community, which we’re actively testing as well.
