The company Xiaomi has several handy fitness bracelets in its portfolio. The newest one, called Mi Band 4 , is enjoying very strong sales figures, and users are coming up with all kinds of upgrades to make the bracelet even more personalized. Today we bring you a guide, on how to install a custom watch face on your bracelet.
A few simple steps
In principle, the process is very simple and can be summarized in a few quick steps. You’ll need the Mi Fit app and another app for file management. The first step is downloading the actual watch face you want from internet sources. Next, open the Mi Fit app and set any watch face from the selection.
Next, in another step, you need a file manager. You must find and open the path through folders Android > Data > com.xiaomi.hm.health > files > watch_skin_local. Copy or save the name of the found .bin file and then delete that specific .bin file (note: the name of the .bin file can look like this, for example: 4lIYUjzg3Vwqt8tJU9sYLeOSqUSAreJNzUxJhxgM.bin).
In the next step, copy the new .bin file into the same folder (note: this is the file of your new watch face that you downloaded from the internet), and rename it to the name of the original .bin file that was in that folder. Now open the Mi Fit app and sync the watch face list for your bracelet. If you did everything correctly, your chosen watch face will appear among the other watch faces in the Mi Fit app.
If you want an easier route, in the Play Store you’ll definitely find several free, but also paid, apps that include additional optional watch faces for Mi Banf. However, the guide is general and intended for any watch face you manage to find from internet sources. The best ones we prepared for you in a separate article you can find at the following link.
