The Google Camera app, also known as GCam, is now available in version 7.3 for multiple Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones, bringing several improvements. However, you won’t find this app in the Play Store. You need to install it manually. Here’s how in the following guide.
GCam 7.3 brings several improvements
The GCam itself (Google Camera) generally lets you take photos with higher quality than the built-in app in MIUI. In addition, its countless settings, modes, and internal algorithms enable much sharper shots in low light conditions or even in complete darkness.
Thanks to its good results, this Google app attracts quite a large number of users. It’s now also available for smartphones Xiaomi Mi 9T, Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8 and POCOPHONE F1.
The new version offers a clearer interface, which lets us access various edits and photo modes in an even simpler way. Also, the astrophotography mode has been improved, and additional features have been added, such as numerous face recognition.
Thanks to the developer with the nickname parrot043, installation is very easy. Just download the corresponding .apk file in the current version and install it as another, standard Android app. Installation files for at least Android 9, possible updates, or other versions can be found at the following link.
