About the fact that Huami is preparing a new generation of its successful smartwatches called Amazfit GTS 2 and GTR 2, we already informed you in our previous article. However, now there’s information that the successors of the company’s most successful model could arrive as early as September.

It will be a year already since the successful Amazfit GTS entered the smartwatch segment. As we told you already, inside the Amazfit app code (newly Zepp) there appeared information about upcoming successors. This information was provided by a leaker known as Magical Unicorn on the GeekDoing forum.
Huami on the well-known Chinese social network Weibo published a post that teases the arrival of new devices soon—specifically in autumn.
If we take into account the fact that Huami has already released the Zepp app with these two new items and that autumn starts in September, we could be looking at the GTS 2 and GTR 2 models in particular.
Besides the expected GTS 2 and GTR 2, new Amazfit Neo could also arrive. However, no further details are available about those yet. So all we can do is wait for information leaks or the official unveiling of this mysterious model.
What we know so far
According to leaked info, the GTS 2 and GTR 2 updates should come with support for multiple voice assistants. Specifically, it’s about the voice assistant Alexa from Amazon as well as XiaoAI from Xiaomi itself.
Furthermore, these two new releases from Huami should have intelligent features related to the user’s health. Another new feature is a mysterious function called „Smart Crown“.
However, absolutely nothing is known about it, and even its meaning isn’t clear. So we’ll have to wait for the official unveiling or for more leaked information.
Still, we assume that after the GTS 2 and GTR 2 presentation, Huami will keep releasing more and more information.
We’re definitely looking forward to what these updates will bring us and we believe they’ll be further successful models. If they deliver the expected innovations, they should, in our opinion, easily outdo their predecessors.
