This AliExpress never disclosed anywhere: New customs duty rules from the EU will be paid for you—just one move in your cart. Now you can use coupons too

Quick summary

  • AliExpress neutralizes the new 3 € EU customs duty for cheap shipments — when you buy three or more products, it automatically deducts exactly 3 euros.
  • During the Bundle deals Duty Covered promo, it also covers part of the VAT through the “Duty benefits” discount, so import fees drop to almost zero.
  • Condition: in your cart you must have at least 3 products from the same category; the cart resets when you switch categories.
  • The promo can be combined with clearance coupons and shipping is free — the real savings can reach up to 20%.
  • The range is mainly Chinese small accessories under 10 € (cables, protective glass, sponges, bottles, accessories), not premium brands.
  • The promo doesn’t have a published end date — after the autumn sale ends, it keeps going and AliExpress doesn’t give any deadline. But keep in mind it can be turned off at any time.

The European Union from July 1, 2026 charges a flat 3 € fee (“customs duty”) on cheap shipments from third countries. We wrote separately about the new rule and how it affects purchases from China on China Planet. AliExpress reacted quietly — and in a way no one expected: in a special promo channel Bundle deals Duty Covered, when you buy three or more products from the same category, it automatically deducts exactly 3 euros. It’s a direct subsidy that compensates for the new customs duty cent by cent. And although AliExpress never announced it, it showed up in the cart even after the autumn sale.

And that’s far from everything. On top of that fixed reward, the platform adds an extra discount “Duty benefits”, which also covers a significant part of the VAT from your order. Result?

Estimated import fees drop to almost zero, and the cart shows only the item price itself. You can also combine the whole promo with current clearance coupons — real savings can reach over 40% compared to a regular purchase.

How the Bundle deals Duty Covered promo works

The principle is simple: in a special sale channel you choose at least three products from the same category, put them in your cart, and at checkout AliExpress automatically deducts the discount called “AliExpress duty reduction”.

It consists of two parts — a fixed reward “Buy 3+, duty covered” worth 3 € and additional “Duty benefits” that match the estimated import fees exactly. In the end, you only pay the item price with VAT, and the new customs duty is compensated as a discount.

Customs duty will be automatically deducted at checkout when you pay – you’ll see it through the item “Aliexress duty reduction”

In this whole channel, shipping is free over 10 € and there’s also a 90-day money-back guarantee, which isn’t common for small goods from China. Important: AliExpress doesn’t state an end date for this promo. It originally looked like a one-off push for the autumn sale, but that ended on September 21 and the channel keeps running — on its page you won’t find a countdown or a date. So treat it as an until-cancelled promo that the platform can switch off overnight.

You save twice — with clearance coupons

The most interesting finding is that the Duty Covered promotion can be combined with universal clearance coupons. The coupon is applied before the customs duty discount, so in the end you see both lines neatly stacked under each other. Right now, there’s a Brand Day with codes BDEU, valid until September 24—after that, global IFP codes with validity through the end of the month remain in play. For Slovakia, the currently active coupon codes are:

That’s why it pays to place your order for small items above the coupon’s threshold amount. In our test cart of €20.17, the coupon EUFS02 knocked off another €2, so after subtracting the customs duty discount and the coupon, the final total dropped from the original €32 (goods + estimated fees) to just €18.21. A practical saving of roughly 43% compared to the regular price outside the promotion.

Watch the categories — the cart gets cleared when you switch

The biggest catch of the whole promotion is that the products have to be from a single category. AliExpress divided the promo channel into themed sections like Essentials, Electronics, Chargers, Bags, Houseware, Textiles, Moto parts, Telecom parts, Fishing, Toys, Jewelry, Sunglasses, Screen protector, Party supplies, or Adhesives.

Once you switch from one category to another, the cart content resets and you have to start over. So you can’t combine a screen protector with a cable and a sponge—each group has its own separate “mini-cart” within the Duty Covered channel.

The second restriction is the upper cap on the order value. The promo is built as an add-on to the standard EU IOSS rule with a 150 € threshold, over which customs recalculates the rates individually. In practice, this means you save the most on purchases up to roughly a hundred euros, where the Duty Covered discount goes directly through the simplified scheme.

What assortment you’ll find here

The Bundle deals channel is mostly packed with cheap Chinese small items, with prices roughly from €1 to €10 per piece. You’ll see phone screen protectors, silicone phone cases, magnetic cable clips, sponges, hangers, plastic door stops, paracord, fishing tackle boxes, batteries, small chargers, textile accessories, and similar stuff. Premium brands—including Xiaomi—are almost nowhere to be found, but the Chargers and Telecom parts section also includes connectors, adapters, and cabling from various manufacturers.

Our test cart consisted of four products with a total price of 20,17 € — a 1000 ml stainless steel thermos for 9,99 €, a pack of 100 cable ties, a silicone car air vent case, and two decorative karambit-style knives.

The estimated import fees were €12.11, but with the “AliExpress duty reduction” AliExpress deducted €12.07, and after adding the EUFS02 coupon worth €2, the order came to the mentioned €18.21. The price includes all fees, and at delivery you don’t pay anything extra.

Watch the IOSS limits

Don’t forget that even though the Bundle deals Duty Covered promotion doesn’t have a published end date, AliExpress can pull it back at any time without notice—and availability for popular products can drop quickly. If you’re planning to restock on small China accessories, now’s a good time. At the same time, we recommend keeping your order below the €150 threshold so the simplified IOSS customs rule applies—once you exceed it, the discount will only cover part of the fees and the customs declaration will be more complicated.
