Interesting design
The new arrival comes with a different design than we’ve been used to with POCO smartphones so far. This is especially true for the back, which features an unusual rear camera module. On the back, you’ll also find a bold POCO logo.
The smartphone will be sold in two color variants – black and blue. The new model is even equipped with an IP53 certification, which indicates resistance to rain and splashing water. The fingerprint sensor is placed in the side power button.
POCO X3 NFC: Up to 120 Hz IPS display
The new POCO X3 NFC smartphone offers a large, up to 6.67″ IPS LCD panel with a total resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+), HDR 10+ technology, and support for a high refresh rate up to 120 Hz.
You’ll also enjoy a high sampling rate of up to 240 Hz. The 20 MPx front camera is placed using a punch-hole design, but its diameter is only 3.8 mm. That means your user experience shouldn’t be affected too much.
The smartphone will even automatically and intelligently switch between refresh rates 60 Hz / 90 Hz / 120 Hz to save as much battery as possible.
For example, when you turn on a game on your smartphone, the phone will automatically activate a higher refresh rate. When viewing photos, the default 60 Hz frequency will be active.
Solid performance with quick system response is also ensured by the latest processor from Qualcomm. Specifically, it’s the 8 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G model, complemented by the Adreno 618 graphics accelerator.
In popular performance benchmarks, the processor scores AnTuTu 301 000 points, which proves its great performance. The processor can handle even more demanding gaming titles.
When it comes to device memory, two smartphone versions will be available for sale. One configuration offers 6 GB of RAM + 64 GB of internal storage, and there will also be a model with 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB of internal storage.
The smartphone uses an LPDDR4X RAM chip and a UFS 2.1 chip for internal storage. The manufacturer didn’t forget about efficient cooling either, and equipped the new device with LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus, which can cool the smartphone by up to 6°C.
For an even better gaming experience, the POCO X3 NFC also includes a special Game Turbo 3.0 mode, which can optimize FPS, network speed, and even sound. Another interesting point is the smartphone’s compatibility with accessories from the Black Shark brand—specifically the Black Shark FunCooler Pro cooler.
64 MPx main camera and 5160 mAh battery
As for the cameras, the main one offers a resolution of 64 MPx. Specifically, it’s a quality Sony IMX 682 sensor with a 1/1.73″ sensor size and pixel size of 1.6 μm, with 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology.
More camera sensors include a 13 MPx wide-angle sensor with a 119° field of view, a depth 2 MPx sensor, and a 2 MPx macro sensor that can capture details from a distance of at least 4 cm.
Great battery life with a high-capacity battery of up to 5160 mAh per charge. A fast charger will also be included in the box, and the smartphone will support charging up to 33W.
On the connectivity side, you also won’t miss an NFC chip for mobile payments. You’ll also get a high-quality vibration linear Z-axis motor, delivering a haptic response at flagship level. The package also includes an IR Blaster and even a 3.5 mm audio jack.
A very pleasant surprise is the dual stereo speakers certified for Hi-Res Audio, delivering a much better sound experience than you’re used to with mid-range smartphones.
On the software side, the POCO X3 NFC comes with the MIUI 12 for POCO interface, and the manufacturer promises up to 3 years of updates for its users. The company will even release the kernel source codes immediately after the launch, allowing the community to start working on Custom ROMs right away.
Price and availability
The new smartphone called POCO X3 NFC will officially go on sale tomorrow, i.e. September 8. Sales will be handled via the official Aliexpress store of the Xiaomi brand.
