This new model is heading worldwide, once again builds on the proven Redmi base, and also brings back the popular Iron Man edition, which also drew attention last year.
POCO X8 Pro is the global Redmi Turbo 5
POCO X8 Pro has appeared in the certification database of Thailand's NBTC regulator, which is one of the clearest signs that the global launch is just around the corner. Interestingly, the certification refers directly to the Iron Man Edition, which clearly suggests that Xiaomi is counting on this special version outside China as well. We saw exactly the same scenario last year with POCO X7 Pro, so this is a proven recipe.
The model designation 2511FPC34G reveals another important detail. The Poco X8 Pro is very close to model 2511FRT34C, which is the Chinese Redmi Turbo 5. The difference in letters is no coincidence, as Xiaomi traditionally uses "P" for Poco and "R" for Redmi. In practice, this means that Poco X8 Pro will be the global version of the Redmi Turbo 5, just with a different name, a slightly tweaked design, and the usual more aggressive pricing policy.
Powerful hardware at a competitive price
From a hardware standpoint, it looks more than promising. Inside, the new MediaTek Dimensity 8500 should be working, targeting the upper mid-range segment and aiming to compete with even more expensive solutions.
Xiaomi should offer configurations with up to 16 GB of RAM, which is a figure that until recently was reserved only for flagships. That will be complemented by a dual rear camera setup, with the main sensor likely being the clear highlight of this class.

The Iron Man edition won't be just about red-and-gold colors. You can expect a special rear-cover design, themed animations in the system, and customized packaging, which is exactly what Poco and Marvel fans love. At the same time, it is great that Xiaomi is not forgetting the standard version either, which should be available in multiple colors and aimed at a wider audience.
If Xiaomi manages to repeat last year's strategy, Poco X8 Pro could once again be one of the most interesting smartphones in its category. The combination of a powerful chip, large memory, global availability, and an attractive price is exactly what helped Poco build its name. The official launch should not be far away, and everything suggests that the mid-range in 2026 will get another seriously strong player.
