First leaks about Xiaomi Mi Watch 2 say it will be unveiled as early as September

The original model Xiaomi Mi Watch went on the market in late 2019. The operating system was Wear OS and the overlay was MIUI. According to the latest information, it seems that the Xiaomi Mi Watch 2 model unveiling is just around the corner.

Maybe as early as September

Xiaomi could showcase the new watches already in September, right in its home country, China. Alongside them, a new Xiaomi Mi CC11 smartphone is expected to appear as well. Its global version should carry the name Mi Note 11. This month, there’s also a tablet Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 planned, which—according to the latest info—should also show up on the global market.

The original watch had a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. The new model should bet on a new Snapdragon Wear 5100 processor and could become the first watch to use it. We expect a performance boost, but the more important parameter should be an increased battery capacity.

Xiaomi Mi Watch

The original Xiaomi Mi Watch model was not available on the global market. The design was similar to what we could see on Apple Watch devices, and it had a Wear OS operating system with a MIUI overlay for watches. Battery life was around two days with normal use.

There were technologies like Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS. The use of eSIM technology also surprised. Even though the watches weren’t available for the global market, you could order them to our parts via international sellers.

Either way, we’ll be looking forward to this prediction actually coming true, and next month we’ll see the new generation of watches. The question is whether the watches will also show up on the global market, or whether they’ll again be exclusively available only for residents of mainland China.
