A proper dose of power
Chinese Redmi has presented three variants of the new gaming laptop for its home market. The specs are, however, so high that even the cheapest model can be used for demanding gaming or video editing in high resolution. The individual configurations are as follows:
- Intel Core i5-12450H / 16 GB RAM DDR5 / 512 GB SSD / RTX Nvidia GeForce 3050
- Intel Core i7-12650H/ 16 GB RAM DDR5 / 512 GB SSD / RTX Nvidia GeForce 3050
- Intel Core i7-12650H/ 16 GB RAM DDR5 / 512 GB SSD / RTX Nvidia GeForce 3050 Ti
From the parameters listed above, it should be clear to everyone that these beasts don’t know the limits when it comes to performance and speed. 12th gen Intel processors together with the RTX 3050 (3050 Ti) graphics cards and 16 GB of RAM will take care of a premium user experience.
An image that’s a pleasure to look at
All three models inherited the same front display panel, which also doesn’t stray from the set high standard by its specs. On the 16″ panel with 100% sRGB gamut coverage, 165 Hz refresh rate, resolution 2,5K (2 560 x 1 600 pixels) and brightness up to 500 nits, watching will simply be a joy. Redmi G 2022 comes with a preinstalled Windows 11 operating system.
Quality audio is handled by a pair of 2 W speakers with support for DTS X Ultra Sound for the best possible gaming experience. The remaining connectivity located on the back consists of four USB Type-A ports, an SD card reader, a USB Type-C connector supporting Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI port, a MiniDP port, and an RJ45 connector (LAN cable).
A 55,02 Wh battery with a 180 W charging adapter provides up to 5 hours of continuous playback of Full HD video at the lowest brightness. To keep the laptop from overheating during use, the manufacturer has improved cooling by up to 19% compared to the Redmi G 2021. The laptop dimensions are 434 x 75 x 443 mm and the weight comes in at 2,4 kg.
