At yesterday’s press conference, we got three new flagship devices right away – Redmi K70E, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70 Pro. And the last one of them also got a special edition in collaboration with the well-known Italian carmaker.
The subsidiary brand is celebrating 10 years in the smartphone world, and it marked this milestone with a collaboration with Lamborghini’s racing division. The new model therefore comes with the fitting name Redmi K70 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse Edition.
Two attractive color variants will be available. These are a striking, rich green and yellow, both paired with a matte black frame, as well as software elements that the manufacturer uses to imitate carbon-fiber parts on race cars.
The design differences are mainly in the rear panel. Compared with the standard version, the camera modules are not arranged in a rectangle. Instead, it uses a pentagon shape that looks just as dynamic as Lamborghini car lines.
New HyperOS and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
The operating system is the new HyperOS, complemented by a custom Lamborghini Squadra Corse theme. And the Italian carmaker is also featured on the promo images and wallpapers, where you can see the V12-powered sports hypercar – Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.
However, it’s important to note that this is more of a design customization in the spirit of the Italian carmaker. It is not a custom-built smartphone, as we could see from Chinese manufacturers in the past. The display, camera, and processor are identical to the standard Redmi K70 Pro. The specs also include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 5000 mAh battery and 120 W fast wired charging.
The last and main difference is that this limited edition will be offered only in the top configuration. Specifically, that means 24 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage. We don’t know the sale price of this device yet, but we expect it to be a version sold exclusively on the domestic Chinese market.
