Great display and insane battery life
The centerpiece of the front of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 watch is a beautiful 1.5″ AMOLED display with a round shape, fitted directly into the stainless-steel body and protected by a durable tempered glass Corning Gorilla Glass. Its resolution comes in at a pleasing 480 x 480 px, which—together with a maximum brightness of up to 2000 nits—delivers a crisp, clear image in almost any conditions.
New is the so-called “Glove Mode”, which lets the display stay touch-responsive even when you’re wearing gloves—up to a thickness of 2 mm. A great feature especially in colder months.
Since these are watches made for the most demanding adventures, they come with a battery you can basically forget about charging every day. It has a capacity of up to 700 mAh, and with regular use it promises an incredible 27 days on a single charge.
With heavy use, they can last almost 2 weeks, but with constant GPS usage, battery life understandably shortens to 42 to 180 hours. Still, these are watches you don’t even need to think about charging.
Upgraded sensors and health tracking
The watch lineup also includes an updated biometric sensor, the BioTracker™ PPG, which provides detailed monitoring of your health. It can continuously track your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress levels, or skin temperature.
They also evaluate the Readiness metric, which is your daily score showing whether you should prioritize rest or activity that day.
For detailed tracking of physical activity, you’ll find support for up to 177 sports modes in total, including strength training, diving, or ultramarathons. You can review all measured values later in the mobile app Zepp App.
Built-in dual GPS is a given, and this time it should be a bit more precise than it was on the previous model. A great bonus is the ability to download offline maps, which will definitely come in handy in the field.
Integrated AI Zepp Flow and NFC payment support
One of the most interesting feature additions is the integration of the Zepp Flow AI assistant directly into the watch operating system Zepp OS 4. It’s a handy helper built on GPT-4o technology from OpenAI.
Thanks to the integrated microphone, you can give voice commands and take full control of your watch using nothing but your voice. However, the speaker is still not included, so you can basically forget about Bluetooth calls.
What you don’t have to forget, though, is contactless payments thanks to NFC technology and the Zepp Pay mobile app. This lets you link up to 8 cards at the same time, so you get convenient contactless payments right from your wrist.
Right now, only MasterCard cards from mBank and Curve cards are supported. The manufacturer promises that support for cards from other banks will roll out in the coming months.
Wireless connectivity at the right level, plus solid durability
Another important part is wireless connectivity, which lets you pair the watch with other devices and also ensures a stable internet connection. For these features, you’ll find modern Bluetooth 5.2, but also more energy-efficient BLE for simpler tasks.
For internet access, the watch uses Wi‑Fi in the 2.4 GHz band, providing a stable connection for downloading updates and synchronizing data.
Great news for active people: support for connecting external sensors via Bluetooth (not ANT+), such as a chest strap, a cycling power sensor, or cadence sensors. You can find the full list of supported devices on the official website.
Everything the watch offers is housed in a tough polymer body with a steel bezel around the display. The bezel slightly protrudes and provides protective coverage. Its construction meets several military standards, making it resistant to extreme conditions at temperatures from 70℃ down to a freezing -30℃.
It even comes with a resistance rating of 10 ATM, along with multiple diving certifications—so you can dive with it to depths of up to 45 meters.
The watch is available in two color variants: an elegant black or a bold orange. The watch dimensions are 48.5 × 48.5 × 13.8 mm, and the weight is 68.3 grams. The strap is made of silicone, comfortable to wear, and 22 mm wide.
A huge internal storage space for music or maps
We also can’t forget to mention the recordingly large internal storage—up to 32 GB, which is currently the most among all Amazfit watches. For the user, there are 26 GB available, which you can use to store MP3 tracks, maps, apps, or watch faces.
