Chinese brand Xiaomi has unveiled its new MIUI 14 layer, and we already know the list of smartphones that unfortunately won’t receive this update. Is your device among them?
These smartphones will no longer get MIUI 14
As many of you already know, MIUI 14 was officially unveiled in its Chinese version at the recent press conference on December 11, 2022. The new version is characterized by much better optimization compared to its predecessor. The result is up to 60% better performance and up to 22% higher efficiency when you’re working.
Naturally, as with bigger software updates, not all devices will receive them. A number of older smartphones will disappear from the support list, and today we’ll show you which models won’t make the cut for the fourteenth generation.
We should also emphasize that the manufacturer itself has stated that devices that won’t get the update won’t be selected based on minimum hardware requirements, but rather based on the age of the series or model itself.
The operating system version can also be a helpful clue. MIUI 14 is software that can be installed based on Android 12 or Android 13. If you’re on an older OS, you probably won’t get this update.
