The Redmi brand recently introduced a new smartphone, the Redmi K30 5G Racing / Extreme Edition, to the Chinese market. With the unveiling, we expect to prepare for the next wave of new smartphones from this brand.

The brand’s director himself, Lu Weibing, shared the aforementioned information via the Chinese social network Weibo.

New 5G smartphones = new chipsets

According to the company management’s statement, it’s known that the cheapest 5G smartphone will be powered by the new Dimensity 800 chipset from Mediatek. In addition, the rumors about the Redmi 9, Redmi 10X 4G, and Redmi K30i devices seem to be real.

Lu Weibing outlined in his post the arrival of new devices that we can expect in the near future. It should be precisely the smartphone with the new MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor.

Various pieces of information spreading on the internet say that the Redmi K30i could establish itself as the cheapest 5G phone. We already informed you about this back in April, and at the time it was said to cost around 130 euros.

It’s likely that the K30i version will come with a 48 MPx quad camera on the back. The picture shows the design of the, so far unofficial, Redmi K30i.

The MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor has 8 cores split into two clusters – 4x Cortex A76 @ 2.0GHz and 4x Cortex A55 @ 2.0GHz.

The processor comes with a Mali-G57MP4 graphics chip, supports LPDDR4X RAM memory, and includes a 5G modem. It’s intended primarily for more affordable smartphones, like K30i.

We also expect additional models

Other revealed information talks about the Redmi 10X 4G model, which is allegedly an upgraded version of the Redmi Note 9. This model was presented only for Europe so far and came with a Helio G85 processor, 3 / 4 GB RAM, a 48 MPx camera, and a 5020 mAh battery.

Alleged Redmi 9 on the leaked photo

The most basic model, the Redmi 9, is also expected — we’ve already heard a bit about it. It’s supposed to be powered by the Mediatek Helio G70 chipset with 6 GB RAM, which is ideal for most users and also for mobile gaming fans.
