The history of Xiaomi tablets is quite interesting. The time gap between the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 and the Xiaomi Pad 5 lasted a long three years. But it seems that after its big success and popularity, Xiaomi Pad 5 the manufacturer will bring its next generation even this year in August. It is expected that the new generation of the tablet, Xiaomi Pad 6, could be available right away in three versions.
Xiaomi Pad 6 in as many as three versions
It is speculated that Xiaomi is preparing up to 3 tablet versions. Going forward, the most budget-friendly version with the label Xiaomi Pad 6 Lite should also be available. We think the manufacturer will try to keep the price under 200 euros. Another model from the trio should be Xiaomi Pad 6. Also expected is the most powerful version, labeled Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro.
The standard Xioami Pad 6 model should keep the same 11″ display size. The top model could bring smaller bezels. The biggest shift should happen especially in the area of cameras. Talking about retail prices is still very premature. The new product could be unveiled sometime in August this year, because that’s exactly when it will be a year since the current model was launched.
Interesting history of Xiaomi tablets
The history of Xiaomi tablets began as far back as 2014. The first tablet from this brand was called Xiaomi Mi Pad. Fans were immediately impressed especially by its design and, for that time, top-tier Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, supported by 2GB of RAM. Its successor, Mi Pad 2, was released on the market in November 2015, but it didn’t bring major changes.
The third generation, labeled Mi Pad 3, came to the market in April 2017 and brought an increase in RAM to 4GB. The fourth generation of the tablet, Mi Pad 4, was launched in 2018 with the Snapdragon 660 chipset. The biggest mystery, however, is that after the introduction of the Mi Pad 4, the company didn’t launch any other tablet for a long three years.
Currently the newest Xiaomi Pad 5 was introduced to the market in 2021, and it returned the king of affordable tablets—capable of taking on iPad—to the world of tablets once again.
