And it’s here! Finally, long-awaited information about the announcement date of the new flagship Xiaomi Mi 10 is coming in. According to the ad published by the brand representatives on social media, the new device will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
“D-Day” is coming up soon
This year, the annual mobile technology show MWC in Barcelona will run from 24. to 27. February / February. A few hours ago, the company shared on social media a status update with a promotional teaser that hints at the launch of new products.
The event is scheduled for the day before the start of MWC 2020, i.e. on 23. February / February 2020. Many fans tipped the Barcelona congress as the right venue to unveil Xiaomi’s new flagship.
The new Xiaomi Mi 10 will surprise with its camera
Besides the launch date, the published ad also hints at a surprising and exceptional lineup for the upcoming device. Even though it doesn’t explicitly say what the new product will be, the 10 numeral made up of many optical lenses says it all.
We can look forward to the fact that Xiaomi Mi 10 will deliver literally “brutal” photo gear, as already indicated by recent statements about taking the top spots in the DxOmark ranking.
Unfortunately, no other information has been released. Considering how Xiaomi has been introducing its flagships in the past, it’s expected that at MWC the new model will be officially launched on the European market.
Rumors suggest that the new flagship smartphone model will have its global debut already on 11. February / February in China—just like it was with Mi 9, or other models.
Based on the information gathered so far, the launch of two versions of the flagship is expected: the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. Both should be equipped with a curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a cutout for the front camera in the top-left corner.
It will be powered by the debuting processor Snapdragon 865, and the primary camera sensor should be a 108-megapixel one from Samsung. On the back, there should also be three additional sensors, along with stereo speakers and, of course, 5G support.
Mi 10 should come with fast 48 W charging and a 4,800 mAh battery. Mi 10 Pro should, in turn, support fast 65 W charging, and its battery should have a capacity of 4,500 mAh.
