Popular Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is getting ready to launch a duo of high-end smartphones labeled Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. These phones have also already passed official certification in the global database, meaning we now know more precise technical specifications.
Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro: Here are the expected technical specifications
Based on available leak information, Xiaomi will announce its new smartphone series Xiaomi 12T in just a few weeks. The press conference is expected to take place during September.
Already during the previous week, we could see FCC and NBTC certification information for the Xiaomi 12T devices, as well as for Xiaomi 12T Pro. Today, the Malaysian agency SIRIM also joined in, certifying these devices as well. The relevant certifications reveal the model code names.
The 12T model is labeled 22071212AG, while the 12T Pro is 22081212UG. Based on these certifications, we can confidently confirm the official launch in Malaysia, Thailand, and likely also in other sales markets.
Flagship processor, 200 MPx camera and up to 120 W fast charging
When it comes to technical specs, we know from available sources that the base Xiaomi 12T will offer a flagship processor Mediatek Dimensity 8100 Ultra. The chip will be paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. There will also be three rear cameras, with a primary 108 MPx sensor, plus fast 67 W wired charging.
From FCC certification, we know that the pricier Xiaomi 12T Pro will be available with dual SIM support, fast 5G connectivity, and an NFC chip for mobile payments. This phone should come with a 6.67″ display with Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. There will also be a fingerprint scanner, this time built under the display surface.
The Pro model will be powered by a different processor—specifically Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The lineup will also include LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. We should also see an aggressive 200 MPx camera with a Samsung HP1 sensor.
The operating system will be Android 12, complemented by the MIUI 13 user interface. The smartphone is expected to include a 5000 mAh battery with fast up to 120 W wired charging.
