According to available information, this will be the model Xiaomi 15T Pro, which is likely based on the Chinese version of the Redmi K80 Ultra.

Redmi K80 Ultra as the foundation for the future Xiaomi 15T Pro

Just like last year, when Xiaomi 14T Pro was built on the Redmi K70 Ultra, Xiaomi is following a similar strategy this year as well. Xiaomi 15T Pro is reportedly based on the Redmi K80 Ultra, which was officially unveiled in China only recently. It will stand out with a modern OLED display, a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, and 100 W fast charging.

Redmi K80 Ultra

What’s interesting is that while Redmi K80 Ultra comes with a basic dual-camera setup, the global version in the form of Xiaomi 15T Pro should deliver major improvements in photography.

A new 50 MP main sensor OmniVision OVX9100, a 13 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens are expected. On the front, a completely new Samsung S5KKDS selfie camera could appear.

Display, performance, and charging without compromises

The Redmi K80 Ultra features a 6.83″ OLED LTPS display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Such a panel is also expected on the 15T Pro model. This is a great compromise between FullHD and QHD resolution, delivering excellent contrast and smooth animations.

Inside, you’ll find the latest Dimensity 9400+ chipset, paired with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage. Power is handled by a 7 410 mAh battery supporting 100 W charging, but for the 15T Pro, the battery could be smaller — leaks point to a 5 500 mAh capacity and 90 W wired charging. Even with a slight capacity reduction, it’s still a powerful and fast solution.

Global launch expected in autumn

Xiaomi regularly unveils its T-series in the third quarter — Xiaomi 14T Pro arrived in September 2024. That’s why it’s expected that the 15T Pro will be officially presented as early as September 2025. Registration in the IMDA is one of the final steps before certifications like FCC or NBTC, which are typical before smartphones are launched to the global market.

Even though not all details are known yet, previous leaks promise a powerful yet affordable smartphone with an advanced camera, a great display, and excellent battery life. For fans of Xiaomi’s T series, this looks like a very promising successor.
