On May 13th, Xiaomi will officially unveil its new true wireless FlipBuds Pro earbuds. In the past few days, everything was about the reveal of some headphone features. The manufacturer is continuing this trend, and even today it has disclosed a few specifications.
11-millimeter drivers
Xiaomi claims that the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro will be the best headphones the company has ever put on the market. This should be thanks to the 11-millimeter dynamic drivers, which promise great sound quality.
With a combination of active noise cancelling (ANC), they should deliver an unusually high-quality music experience. We also learned that the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro will offer up to 3 ANC adjustment levels.
Also included will be a transparent mode, which uses built-in microphones to send ambient sound directly into the earbuds, improving user safety—for example, on the street or in a shop.
The range of supported audio codecs will be just as varied. These include AAC, SBC, and aptX Adaptive. Supported codecs provide high sound quality and, above all, low latency, meaning these earbuds could also be suitable for mobile gaming players.
A leaked photo of the software has also surfaced, revealing another interesting feature. If you lose your earbuds, you can use the connected app to “ring” them—this will make the earbuds emit loud sounds and make them easier to locate. A similar feature is also offered by Samsung’s Galaxy Buds.
The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro look very interesting, and so far there isn’t a feature where they would be losing to their direct competition. Their biggest competitors are Apple AirPods Pro, Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, and Huawei FreeBuds Pro. Price will be an important factor in the fight against the competition. Xiaomi has always offered a great price/performance ratio—and it should be the same in this case.
We definitely can’t wait to see them. As soon as the official presentation happens, you can expect a detailed article on this website with complete specifications.
