Xiaomi has announced the arrival of new true wireless earbuds. They should be called Xiaomi Noise Canceling Headphones Pro and will be unveiled very soon.
New design
Xiaomi already has earbuds in its lineup with active noise cancelling (ANC). These are the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro. You can read their review on our sister site ChinaPlanet here.
The new ANC earbuds should be called Xiaomi Mi Noise Canceling Headphones Pro. They’ll be presented in just a few days, specifically on Thursday, May 13th. The manufacturer has already published the charging case design and the earbud shape, which is remarkably similar to Apple AirPods Pro.
From the leaked image, you can see that Xiaomi is changing the shape of the charging case. Compared to the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro earbuds, they’ve done away with sharp edges and brought in rounded contours, which sit better in your hand and are also more comfortable to wear in your pants or jacket. The earbuds will be available in an elegant black color.
The look of the earbuds themselves has also leaked. There’s clear inspiration from Apple earbuds here. Xiaomi will shorten the earbud stem and again use a design with interchangeable tips that block ambient sounds well, allowing the ANC feature to work properly. This kind of construction is very comfortable to wear, which many users highlight with the AirPods Pro model.
The manufacturer promises they’ll be among the most advanced and most modern headphones on the market. On 13 May, we’ll find out more details and, most importantly, the final price. Let’s see whether these headphones will also be launched in a global version or if they’re a product made exclusively for the Chinese market. It’s expected that shortly after the unveiling, the headphones will appear in the listings of some Chinese e-shops like AliExpress or Banggood.
