Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has announced the official arrival of the successor to the CIVI model. Specifically, it’s a design-focused smartphone for mobile photography, labeled Xiaomi CIVI 1S. And we already know the first leaks of the technical specifications.
Xiaomi CIVI 1S: Again focused on mobile photography
As we expected, based on previous leak information, the company Xiaomi has officially announced preparations for a new smartphone called Xiaomi CIVI 1S. Besides what should be one of the nicest designs in the brand, this smartphone shouldn’t fall short in mobile photography either.
The Chinese manufacturer has also confirmed the official announcement date for this device. Specifically, it will be 21. April 2022, however it will be an official press conference intended for the local, Chinese market. At this event, we should see the unveiling of the final design, features, and of course the retail price.
If we look at the information we have, Xiaomi CIVI 1S should build on the previous generation, especially in terms of design. It should be a very thin and light device, with rounded corners. In addition, it will be an exclusive Chinese model, and we have no other available information about its international availability.
These are the technical specifications of the smartphone that are expected
Despite the fact that this is not officially confirmed information, speculation expects these technical specifications. For example, it’s said to use a 6.55″ AMOLED LTPO panel, which should also be paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. The device is expected to come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Besides, one of the strong points of this smartphone should also be its camera setup. Leaks suggest the presence of 64 MPx a main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). This sensor should also be complemented with a 8 MPx ultra-wide-angle camera Sony IMX355, and another unspecified 2 MPx camera, likely intended for blurring the photo background.
