Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is preparing its new smartphone with a focus on elegance and design. And we already know the photos and the official presentation date of the upcoming device Xiaomi CIVI 2.
Xiaomi CIVI 2: We know the official presentation date
There have been rumors about the arrival of Xiaomi CIVI 2 for several weeks, but now it’s probably the end of the leaks. The manufacturer has, after all, announced the official presentation date for this smartphone. The press conference will take place as early as September 27, 2022 at 08:00 your local time.
However, as we learned from previous leaks, this will be exclusively a Chinese device, with global availability currently not being expected.
Xiaomi itself has already also shared the first official images of this smartphone. They reveal the design of the back panel, matching the current Xiaomi smartphone lineup. We can also see the rear camera module, which includes three sensors at once and a dual LED flash.
50 MP main camera, OLED display, and 120 Hz
As you can see in the first image, Xiaomi CIVI 2 is truly an elegant device. In addition to rounded edges, it features a glass surface with a textured finish, following the example of competing smartphones from the Huawei P50 series. It hit the market a few months ago, and besides the similar design, it also has rear cameras placed in the exact same way.
The image also hints at the resolution of the main camera sensor. It should offer 50 MPx, which is a change compared to the previous generation, which delivered 64 MPx resolution. However, as is the case with mobile photography, megapixels aren’t the key to success—so this new sensor should definitely not be underestimated. The main sensor should also be complemented by two other unspecified lenses.
Other specs are expected to include a new processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which should be paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 of RAM and 256 GB of fast internal UFS 3.1 storage.
The device will also come with a 6.56″ OLED display with a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. We don’t have any further information yet, and we’ll have to wait a few more days for it to be revealed at the official launch of this device.
