Xiaomi Cloud offers a wide range of options

Xiaomi offers its cloud service Xiaomi Cloud, which comes pre-installed on every device running Android with the MIUI custom interface. You can store photos, apps, contacts, special phone settings, smartphone backups, and many more things in the cloud.

All of this also makes switching to a new phone easier—you just sign in to your Xiaomi Mi account, and the phone will essentially “clone” itself in no time. We covered Xiaomi Cloud and its features in detail in our article.

New cloud subscription options

Since Xiaomi is trying to bring its customers the best deals at the best prices, it introduces entirely new subscription options for its cloud storage. Until now, all Xiaomi Cloud users had 5000 MB of free space available for use.

The new plans come in two variants, Gold and Platinum. Each of them can then be subscribed for 10 or up to an incredible 60 years. With the Platinum plan, you get 200 GB of storage, whereas with Gold you get 50 GB.

Subscription prices, when converted, are just under 85 € for 10 years and 215 € for 60 years for the Platinum plan. For the Gold version, homeowners pay just under 30 € for 10 years and 65 € for 60 years. In addition, of course, there are also classic subscriptions for 1,3,6 and 12 months.

It’s estimated that Mi Cloud runs on millions of devices, since MIUI in 2019 had more than 291 million users, with 112,8 being only from China. That’s also one of the reasons why this long-term subscription feature is currently available only in China for the domestic market.
