A tradition of the Mi MIX lineup from Xiaomi has become special editions prepared by the manufacturer for various significant events. It’s the same with the latest Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, which besides the classic versions also comes in a unique edition called „Forbidden City“.
A unique design and up to 10 GB RAM
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 in the Forbidden City edition comes with several special features right away. The first interesting point is the capacity of the operating memory, which in this model has climbed to an incredible 10 GB. So it’s one of the first smartphones on the market with this amount of RAM. In addition, the MIX 3 „Forbidden City Edition“ brings an exclusive packaging design, but also the device itself, designed in the style of the Chinese Forbidden City.
The ceramic body of the device is colored blue, and underneath the glass it contains a golden inlay of a mythical lion figure. The lion statue covered in 24-carat gold is also included in the package, together with the 10W wireless charger and a themed protective case.
Special edition, special price
The official Chinese price for the regular version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 was set at 3300 yuan (425 € / 11 000 kč). For the “Forbidden City” edition, Xiaomi will charge you 5000 yuan, which comes to 645 € / 16 650 kč. However, this price tag only applies to residents of China, and if you’re interested in the unique Mi MIX 3 version, you’ll need to pay a bit extra. And if this model ever makes it to sale with third-party sellers, you’ll pay even more for it.
