Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has passed the Geekbench performance test 5, which reveals the processor being used

A new tablet from Xiaomi is coming soon and we should meet it as early as tomorrow. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 reveals its internals in a performance test and shows the Qualcomm processor being used. So its performance definitely won’t be lacking.

Expected Snapdragon 870

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series should include two or three models. In a performance test in Geekbench 5, a Xiaomi tablet with the code name M2105K81AC appeared. This evaluation revealed the key product specifications.

The tablet should be powered by a processor clocked up to 3.1 GHz, and Adreno 650 will handle graphics. These clues suggest we’ll really get the Snapdragon 870, which you can also find in smartphones like the POCO F3 and the OCO X3 Pro.

The processor is built using a 7-nanometer technology and may also support 5G networks. From the table, we can read that the processor is paired with 6 GB of RAM, and the tablet runs on Android version 11. In the single-core test, the tablet scored 997 points, and in the multi-core test 3 181 points. So users definitely don’t need to worry about having enough performance.

We’ve got plenty to look forward to

We already know that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet will support a stylus, and Xiaomi is also preparing a special external keyboard for it. It wants to fight for a spot in the premium tablet segment, where it will go up against big names like iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. It’ll be interesting to watch this clash of giants in another segment too, not just in smartphones.

It’s expected that the tablet will feature a 10,95-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The battery should have a capacity of 8 720 mAh and support 67-watt fast charging. The leaked design has already revealed a pair of lenses on the back, with the main one having a resolution of 48 MPx.
