Xiaomi - in the photo Redmi Pad 2 - Battery 10 000 mAh (typical), predecessor 9 000 mAh
- In the box according to the NCC only a 15 W adapter
- Versions 4 + 128, 6 + 128 and 8 + 256 GB
- 4G with VoLTE and IP52 rating
The cheap Redmi Pad 2 has been on the market since June 2025, and its successor is already going through the authorities. Redmi Pad 3, according to the Android Treasure and Notebookcheck websites, appeared in certification databases in Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. The records mainly show that it will get a bigger battery and three memory versions. Xiaomi has not officially presented the tablet yet, so take the parameters in the article as a leak from certifications, not as confirmed data.
We don’t yet know what the new tablet will look like. None of the databases shows photos or dimensions, so the picture above is still the current Redmi Pad 2.
The Redmi Pad 3 battery will increase by roughly 1 000 mAh
Taiwan’s NCC authority lists a battery for the tablet under the designation BN90, and the web Android Treasure also found it in the TÜV Rheinland database, where it has a CB certificate from 19 August 2026. According to the entry in the IECEE system, its rated capacity is 9 820 mAh and typical 10 000 mAh. Xiaomi, meanwhile, usually writes that same typical figure in its tablet specs.

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Pad 2 has a typical capacity of 9 000 mAh, so if we calculate the same way, the new generation will add about 1 000 mAh and roughly 11% of capacity. Notebookcheck compares the rated 9 820 mAh with the predecessor’s typical 9 000 mAh, so the difference comes out smaller.

It’s not so clear when it comes to charging. In NCC records, there is a 15 W adapter MDY-18-EJ, which Xiaomi includes with the Redmi Pad 2, and alongside it there’s also a 33 W charger MDY-16-EH, but that won’t be in the box. Whether the tablet will really charge faster with it isn’t indicated in the documents. For comparison, the Redmi Pad 2 supports charging with 18 W, even though the box includes only a 15 W adapter.
Up to 8 GB RAM, SIM slot and IP rating 52
According to the NCC, Redmi Pad 3 will come in three memory versions: 4 + 128 GB, 6 + 128 GB and 8 + 256 GB. You can expand the storage with a microSD card up to 2 TB. The cheapest version with 4 GB RAM is enough for movies, kids’ cartoons and web browsing, but when you open multiple apps at once, its memory will run out quickly.
Thailand’s NBTC authority lists model 26104RPF2G directly under the name Redmi Pad 3 4G, so the tablet will get a SIM card slot with VoLTE support. The records also mention Bluetooth and dual-band Wi‑Fi at 2.4 and 5 GHz, but Wi‑Fi 6E is missing. The certification also states IP52 protection, so the tablet can handle dust and water splashes, but immersion is not included.
Display, chipset or price are not known yet
The certifications don’t reveal the display diagonal, processor or cameras. The TDRA authority in the United Arab Emirates also lists model 2610FRP38G, which could be a 5G version according to Android Treasure, but it’s not confirmed yet. When a device appears in the databases of multiple countries at once, the launch usually isn’t far off. Xiaomi hasn’t announced a date or price yet.
If you don’t want to wait, you can go for the current Redmi Pad 2 with an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2 560 × 1 600 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chip. If your tablet is mainly for movies and school, with a 9 000 mAh battery it will easily last two days, and you can find the current prices from the EU warehouse in our article about Redmi Pad 2.
