Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i: Mini LED technology and 180 Hz
A new product from Xiaomi is arriving as a completely new offering for global customers in Europe. However, if we take a closer look at the new gaming monitor, we’ll see that it directly comes from the previously presented Chinese model known as Redmi Display G Pro 27″. But nothing extraordinary here—such “rebranding” from the Chinese brand is something they offer quite often.
It features a 27″ diagonal and a total resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. As for the panel itself, it offers very good viewing angles, IPS LCD technology, as well as a high refresh rate up to 180 Hz. However, this panel is flat, not curved, which might be a downside for some fans of gaming titles.
When we look at the differences versus competing models, there’s no shortage of up to 1152 dimming zones, which together with Mini LED technology help achieve a maximum brightness of up to 1000 nits. A big advantage is also support for VESA DisplayHDR 1000.
The Mini LED Gaming Monitor G also delivers an excellent GtG response time (Gray-to-gray), just 1 ms, as well as 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Connectivity-wise, the situation is favorable—it includes two DisplayPort ports, plus an HDMI connector.
Price and availability of the new gaming monitor
Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i will reach Europe via official distribution in the coming weeks. However, despite the published technical specifications, we still don’t know the sales start date or the official retail price. We only know its model designation: P27QBA-RGPGL.
We can, however, base our expectations on the mentioned Chinese Redmi 27″ monitor, which is sold for 1999 Chinese yuan, i.e. about €254. If we add extra features and the costs associated with shipping, we can expect a retail price in the range of approximately €300 – €400.
