The new best Xiaomi smartphone is on the horizon, but we won’t see it this year.

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is preparing its next flagship-level smartphone under the name Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which should arrive already next year.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: These are the first leaks

Xiaomi’s new flagship line will consist of at least three models. Specifically, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro, and a premium Xiaomi 15 Ultra. is already in development. This flagship model should hit the market with a powerful Qualcomm chip, and it will also deliver exceptionally strong camera features.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra as the predecessor of this device really impressed users, but some also reported certain issues. One of them is the camera fogging problem, which also occurs in other models like Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 14, and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Because of this, some customers even returned their devices.

And it’s precisely this technical issue that Xiaomi wants to eliminate first on its list for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The Chinese manufacturer wants to further boost sales of the premium smartphone, and that’s why it needs to fix the shortcomings of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model, which was an exceptionally well-equipped smartphone.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and reveal at MWC 2025

However, all three new devices from the Xiaomi 15 series will come with a powerful processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which hasn’t been officially unveiled yet. Using the latest chips is a standard for Xiaomi, and this year they also have the premiere of the new chip secured by contract.

The new Xiaomi 15 Ultra has already appeared in the IMEI database. If we had to guess the date of the official launch in Europe, it looks like it will be at the MWC 2025 exhibition in Barcelona. The 15 Ultra model offers three different model designations 25010PN30C, 25010PN30G and 25010PN30I.

The first number of the model refers to the Chinese version of the device, while the other model numbers refer to the global and Indian model. This fact also points to sales outside the Chinese market.

The designation “2501” at the beginning of the model name represents the date January 2025. We expect the new flagship Xiaomi smartphones to be available on the Chinese market this month. European customers will have to wait a few more weeks. And just like this year, the global version will introduce only the base model Xiaomi 15, followed by the premium 15 Ultra.
