The long-awaited outdoor watch Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 is no longer just the subject of leaks and speculation, because the manufacturer has officially launched it. Although the first info from an Italian e-shop outlined the basics, the official reveal uncovered details that make this model a real terrain beast.

The mentioned Italian e-shop Epto, where the watch appeared in the listing even before the official release, shared specific details in advance. We’re now updating this information with what appeared on the brand’s official site Amazfit.
Titanium body, sapphire crystal, and extreme durability
The watch’s construction uses premium-quality titanium Grade 5, which is commonly used in aviation for its strength and light weight, while the display is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The full body with a 51 mm diameter has undergone demanding military tests and is ready for extreme temperature swings, impacts, and rough handling on rocks or ice.
The rugged build is complemented by water resistance up to 10 ATM, so the watch can handle everything from swimming and diving to other demanding conditions, such as heavy rain or high air humidity.
The new model also holds up directly under the water surface, bringing a major upgrade in the form of double certification for diving. The watch meets standards EN13319 and ISO 6425, which in practice means it’s a full-feature tool for recreational diving up to a depth of 45 meters. In addition to tracking depth and time underwater, it won’t be fazed by extreme cold either.
Thanks to a special mode, the Low Temperature Mode, all key functions remain fully operational even when temperatures drop as low as -30 °C. Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 come with preinstalled full-color map backgrounds that now also include special ski and high-mountain maps with marked lifts and slopes. Through the Zepp app, adventurers can also download detailed contour maps for better orientation in rugged terrain.
The display with a 1.5-inch diagonal delivers up to 3000 nits of brightness, and it’s naturally based on a quality AMOLED panel. While some fans were hoping for MicroLED technology, in the end we got AMOLED instead.
AI integration within Zepp OS and offline maps
In the area of smart features, the watch benefits from a new Zepp OS system and the integration of Zepp Flow AI. This lets users on Android devices reply to messages in natural language or control the watch’s settings by voice. There’s also support for Bluetooth calls thanks to a built-in microphone and speaker.
The strong point of the upcoming new model should be navigation. The watch supports 6 satellite systems and dual-band GPS, promising accurate location tracking even in demanding terrain between buildings or mountains. It also includes preinstalled colorful maps.
You can plan a route directly on the watch, search for points of interest, and if you stray from the route, the system will automatically reroute you. For hikers and adventurers, it’s a very practical feature that eliminates the need to constantly take your smartphone out of your pocket.
Premium battery life and price
Now we’re getting to what’s probably the most interesting feature. Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 offer future users up to 30 days of battery life on a single charge under normal use. If you need localization via GPS, this drops to 7 days—still a very solid value. Combined with a highly durable design, it’s a companion you can take on a multi-day trek without worrying about running out of power.
An interesting feature is the built-in two-tone LED flashlight, which can help not only during night activities, but also as a safety element so you’re more visible. You’ll also find a barometer and additional sensors for outdoor activities, as well as sensors for advanced monitoring of bodily functions.
For the European market, support for Zepp Pay is also mentioned, so contactless NFC payments should be available here too. Today, this is basically a must-have even for premium watches. An Italian retailer even listed a price of €512.90 before the official unveiling. The price on the official website is set at $549.99, confirming their position as a premium flagship model.
That’s significantly more than the previous model Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, which sells for around €399 (without a coupon or discounts). To wrap it up, there’s also the manufacturer’s eco-friendly approach to packaging—it’s fully recyclable. The box includes a charging dock with a USB-C connector, but you won’t find the actual power cable in the package, as the brand aims to reduce electronic waste.
