This message will delight many Xiaomi fans. SE models are among the most interesting smartphones from the company. Even though we’ve only seen two so far — Mi 8 SE last year and Mi 9 SE this year — they’ve managed to impress fans from all over the world.

Mi 9 SE Global officially confirmed!
Perfection still needs just one thing: a global version that would be fully usable in Europe as well. With the Mi 8 SE, we didn’t get a global variant. However, Xiaomi listened to the fans, and this year’s Mi 9 SE will also get an official global version!
On Xiaomi’s official global website Mi.com, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has been added to the list of officially certified devices for use in the global market. The certification was spotted by the portal Xiaomitoday.it. Among the other certified devices are also the Mi 9, the recently released Mi Play, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi 7.

So it’s not speculation, but confirmed information. The official CE certification for the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE model is available on this link. What we can’t confirm yet, though, is whether it includes the LTE B20 band that everyone is waiting for with this model. Xiaomi has previously released global smartphone versions that did not support this band. In the past, this was the case for, for example, the Mi Max 2.
Still, we believe the manufacturer has learned from this mistake and won’t repeat it. We don’t yet have more details about the release of the Mi 9 SE global version, but we’ll be keeping an eye on the situation. We’ve also already asked the official distributors to comment on availability.
It stands out thanks to its compact size and price
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE smartphone impressed a lot of fans thanks to its compact dimensions. By today’s standards, the compact 5.97″ AMOLED display is built into a frame measuring 147.5 x 70.5 x 7.45 mm. With these dimensions, one-handed operation is much more comfortable.
But the phone will also win you over with its other specs. A sufficiently powerful Snapdragon 712, 6 GB of RAM at the base, an AMOLED display with a fingerprint sensor, NFC, a triple 48 + 13 + 8 MPx camera, and much more.
The attraction is also the price tag, which in China is 265 € / 6800 CZK. If Xiaomi applied the same pricing strategy in Europe as it did for the Mi 9 model, it could mean a fresh sales hit for the manufacturer in year 2019.
