The long-awaited smart band from the Mi Band series has appeared in the first photos. It’s the successor to the very popular and affordable Mi Band 2 and Mi Band 3. The upcoming Mi Band 4 should be officially unveiled soon, as suggested by several certification processes.

Leaked photos come from Taiwan’s NCC (National Communications Commission) certification center, where the new device is labeled with the code name XMSH07HM.
As you can see from the photos, the popular design of the predecessors has been kept. The main module features a rectangular display with wide bezels. Below it, there is a capacitive button in the shape of a circle. The device will be equipped with a heart rate sensor, and it should be a more precise sensor than in the predecessor.
Compared to the predecessor, the new Mi Band 4 has moved charging connectors to the very bottom. Chargers from the previous models won’t be compatible with the new model. Mi Band 4 will use a completely different charging adapter shaped like a so-called cradle. The built-in battery should have a higher capacity — 135 mAh. So we can expect even longer battery life.
The announcement of the new device is expected as early as May this year. There should be two versions on the market, with the more expensive one improved with the sought-after NFC module.
