A package with Xiaomi got lost on the way from China. Reader Lukáš has been buying through us since 2019. How did it turn out back then, and why did he order a POCO F8 Pro now?

Reader Lukáš has been shopping via Xiaomi Planet since 2019, when for a test he ordered Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite. Since then, he’s ordered dozens of things through us—from a robotic vacuum cleaner to a TV—and, according to his own words, he had just one problem during that time. The package with Xiaomi 12T, which was going directly from China, got lost along the way between Luxembourg and Slovakia. Now he ordered POCO F8 Pro from a European warehouse, so we checked his experience and the shipping route day by day.

In the past few weeks we’ve had several delivery experiences from China here, but Lukáš’s is different. He’s been buying from us for seven years and once, during that time, something really went wrong when he had to deal with a lost package.

He shared the experience in a post in our Facebook group on the day of delivery itself. In his text, we only adjusted the punctuation:

I’d like to take this opportunity to highlight and recommend Xiaomi Planet / Deal Planet as the most trustworthy partner for purchasing products. I’ve been using your portal for quite a long time—since the days when the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite model came to market, which I bought back then as a trial. Since then, some time has passed and, not long ago, I got another piece through You—a brand-new POCO F8 Pro.

Over those years and dozens of orders, I’ve had just one minor issue—also not due to the portal. When I bought Xiaomi 12T directly from China, the package got lost somewhere between Luxembourg and Slovakia. However, I immediately used your support on Xiaomi Planet and the resolution was lightning-fast: they sent me a new phone the very soon via an express courier, with absolutely no extra charges! That’s what I call real customer care.

As a big fan of the Xiaomi ecosystem, I have almost everything from them at home—from a robotic vacuum cleaner to a TV. I’m extremely satisfied with the products and especially with the approach of Xiaomi Planet / Deal Planet.

When a package from China gets lost

Lukáš ordered Xiaomi 12T years ago directly from China. The package arrived in Luxembourg, but somewhere on the way further to Slovakia it got lost and never made it to Lukáš.

According to him, it was solved quickly: he got in touch with us and they sent him a new phone via an express courier with absolutely no extra payment. If your package in tracking has been stuck for a few days, don’t wait until the store’s protection period expires. Contact the seller and if you ordered with our VIP support, write to us right away.

From Madrid to Košice in a week

This time Lukáš ordered the POCO F8 Pro himself via DHgate from a Spanish warehouse. He also added tracking of the shipment, from which you can read the entire route. On Monday 19. October at 5:03 the seller entered the data into the GLS system; the courier took over the package in Madrid at 18:11, and that same evening at 22:40 the package left the depot.

On Wednesday, 21 October evening, the package was in the German city of Erding. The next day, it was in the Czech Republic, and it arrived in Slovakia on Saturday, 24 October, shortly after midnight. However, the weekend met it there, so it didn’t reach the Košice depot until Monday at 6:59. At 7:42 the courier loaded it for delivery and at 11:08 Lukáš had it at home.

From pickup in Madrid to delivery it was seven days; of that, the package spent two days during the weekend in Slovakia. The box with the Bose logo arrived intact—only with a warehouse label. In Lukáš’s photos, there’s a phone in the package, a black case with the POCO logo, and a cable, but there’s no POCO F8 Pro charger in the box.

POCO F8 Pro has Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 6 210 mAh battery with 100 W charging, eSIM and speakers tuned by Bose. On DHgate, an approved seller ships it from the Spanish warehouse—globally, with Slovak, Google services, and NFC payments. The seller provides a two-year warranty and ships it from Spain, so it should arrive in about a week and you don’t pay anything extra when receiving it.

6. Check the discount and payYou’ll see the applied coupon in the Saved line — when you open it, it will show as DH Coupon. Only when Order Total really lower, tap Confirm to pay.

   

You only have about half an hour to pay. There’s a countdown on the Confirm to pay button — when it runs out, the order is canceled and you have to create it again. So enter the coupon before you start paying.

DHgate sometimes adds a discount automatically. The Saved line may already be filled in before you enter any code. After pressing Apply, compare the Order Total — if it didn’t go down, the code either wasn’t applied or it’s weaker than the discount DHgate gave you automatically.

Lukáš’s phone has a global version of the system, which is among the first to be rolled out with HyperOS 4.
