The flagship phone Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be officially unveiled this month. The info from a leaked poster has been confirmed, and we’re just waiting for the exact date and time.
Global unveiling this month
Xiaomi and Leica both released information about when one of this year’s most anticipated smartphones will be unveiled. Lei Jun, the CEO, also shared it on social media on Twitter.
We recently informed you that on the Chinese social network Weibo a poster leaked announcing an event on April 17, 2023 at 19:00 local Chinese time.
The same poster was posted practically now as well, which means it wasn’t a fake. We can see the Xiaomi and Leica logos here, and in the background there’s a large circular lens.
The official poster talks about the most advanced mobile photography lens Leica has made so far. These cameras will be the main selling point of why you should buy this smartphone. But the most important information is right at the very bottom, which says that the smartphone presentation will take place this month, but it doesn’t mention a specific date.
But wait, this info already says a global unveiling and not the one in China. However, it’s quite likely that the smartphone will be presented for both the Chinese and global markets at the same time, on the same date.
But this is finally progress: on the global market, we’ll also get a top-tier smartphone camera phone that won’t be, as before, only an exclusive for the domestic Chinese market.
It will be the top of the market
The main camera should be a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor with optical stabilization. Next will be a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and thirdly also a 50-megapixel telephoto lens.
Next, we expect a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Performance will be handled by the current flagship, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, along with 12 GB of RAM.
