The 4th generation of the popular and affordable Amazfit GTR smart watch is no longer for sale, but the manufacturer is bringing back a refreshed version with a new model name Amazfit GTR 4 NEW.

It’s a version built on the original model’s foundation, but you’ll find a larger 1.45″ display with higher resolution, a reduced weight by 2 grams, and straps made from better-quality materials. The functions, however, stayed the same.

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
3. Continue to Checkout via the cartA pop-up will appear: Added to cart!—tap Check it out. If it disappeared, open the cart using the icon in the bottom-right corner. In the cart, check the product and quantity, then tap the red Checkout button. Only the items marked with the red circle are included.
4. Fill in your address and card, then look for Promo codeIn the order summary, first enter the delivery address and payment card at the top. Below that, there’s a line Promo code — expand it with the arrow on the right.

   

5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyIn the field Promo code paste the copied code and click the black Apply. The code is case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.

Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

Comparison of the original GTR 4 vs GTR 4 NEW:

A more elegant design and a larger display

The upgraded Amazfit GTR 4 NEW smart watch version offers a bit more elegance, but it still keeps the same round design inspired by previous generations. This time, the AMOLED display diagonal is slightly bigger—up to 1.45″ with a resolution of 480 x 480 px, which is a subtle improvement over the original.

The manufacturer also reduced the watch weight from the original 34 g down to the current 32 g and added a more elegant strap made of vegan leather.

Where it falls short, though, is the battery and battery life per charge, with a reduction from the original 475 mAh to 440 mAh, which is reflected in the overall battery life as well. The original model could last up to 14 days on a single charge, while for the new version the manufacturer states a battery life of approximately 12 days.

Features we already know from the original model

As for the features, they stayed the same as in the original model. So you’ll find the ability to record up to 150 sports activities, with up to eight of them able to be recognized automatically. All your sports and health records are stored in the Zepp app (Zepp), whose name is derived from the ZeppOS operating system the watch runs on.

The device offers a range of features for health and sleep monitoring, as well as an optical sensor BioTracker 4.0 PPG. This sensor should be up to 33% more accurate than the previous generation.

For passionate athletes, there’s also an option to connect external sensors via Bluetooth, such as a chest strap. We have tested the Magene H64 from Aliexpress and it works perfectly—especially considering the extremely low price compared to Garmin or Polar strap sensors.

Other features include a built-in speaker for phone calls, support for the intelligent assistant Amazon Alexa, and dual-band GPS with access to five satellite systems. You’ll also appreciate the built-in storage capacity of 2.3 GB, which can hold up to 470 songs for independent playback without needing to connect to a smartphone.
