For comparison, the same watches are sold in Slovak e-shops for prices starting from 111 €, while through the official Amazfit store on Aliexpress you can get them for just 72,85 €. The price difference of 38 € is definitely not negligible.
Amazfit T-Rex Pro: Rugged smartwatches
As expected, today the Chinese manufacturer Amazfit officially introduced its new durable smartwatches called Amazfit T-Rex Pro. In terms of specs, they come with 10 ATM certification, which even lets you dive.
Following the previous T-Rex model, once again we’re looking at some of the most rugged smartwatches, which — besides a lot of military-grade certifications — also bring improvements focused on body monitoring and sports activities.
Amazfit T-Rex Pro keeps the same design lines, demonstrating a comparable level of durability to its predecessor. According to the manufacturer, these new watches have undergone more than 15 military tests, including tests for extreme temperatures, ice, or even heavy fog.
Low weight, SpO2 monitoring, and 390 mAh battery
The watches measure 47.7 x 47.7 x 13.5 millimeters and are made from polycarbonate materials. That’s why they also offer a low weight of just 59.4 grams. The package includes a 1.3″ HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and Always-On technology.
When it comes to monitoring, there’s no shortage of advanced heart-rate recording technology, as well as SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring. There’s also a barometer and an altimeter (it indicates the altitude you’re at). The mentioned 10 ATM certification ensures high-quality water resistance and diving without damaging the device, so it’s safe up to a depth of 100 meters.
On top of that, you get as many as 100 sports modes for monitoring and recording your activities, sleep tracking, step counting, and burned calories. Following the pattern of other Amazfit products, there’s also an inactivity reminder setting.
The new smartwatches also support location tracking. For this feature, they offer four GPS technologies: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. The built-in battery has a capacity of up to 390 mAh. It will provide an average battery life of 18 calendar days. For charging the watch, you use specific connectors on the back, just like with the original T-Rex model.
Price and availability of the new watch
The Amazfit T-Rex Pro model will be sold in black, gray, and blue color combinations. The official retail price has been set at 169,99 €, and at the same price we can expect these watches to be available globally here in Europe.
