Thanks to this simple trick, you can change the colors and sounds in the Camera app in MIUI12

Xiaomi brings, through its popular MIUI 12 overlay, a range of useful and interesting features that make using your smartphone more enjoyable. Today, we’ll tell you about one of them in this article.

Even though it’s just a design change, it’s great that the manufacturer gives us the option to fine-tune the software in line with our preferences. Specifically, we’re talking about changing sound effects and the color environment of the Camera app.

Customize your photo app

To change the color interface and sound effects in the Camera app, follow the steps below. With this trick, you can easily adjust the design so it matches your needs.

First, open your camera app. Next, tap the menu in the top-right corner and select Settings. In Settings, find and click the item Customize, and you’ll get to the app appearance customization menu.

Multiple colors and sound effects

You can choose between camera modes, the arrangement of camera functions, and customizing the color presentation or the shutter sound effect. You have several sounds to choose from, along with lots of color combinations.

With this kind of tweak, you can set up your camera according to your preferences and enjoy every photo even more. You can choose a modern blue style, a yellow retro look inspired by American iOS, or other fresh colors.

However, it’s worth noting that these settings in MIUI 12 aren’t available on all smartphones. While everything worked as it should on our Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone, on the other tested Mi 8 Lite we couldn’t find these settings.

In the comments section below the article, feel free to write whether your model supports this customization—and if yes, which sound and color combinations you use. For more interesting content, follow our Facebook page and subscribe to articles directly in your email inbox.
